Summers are Special Here
Weekends are filled with activity, events, fairs and frolic for those who stay briefly. But there is a hardy crowd of year-'rounders who live on less adrenalin. They know the best roadside fruit and vegetable stands, the perfect locally produced wine and most of the gallery owners on a first name basis. They also relish the quiet winters where lake effect snows convince them to nestle near the fire.

Boats, boats and more boats abound in the Saugatuck River which separates the Saugatuck and Douglas communities.

The Allegan area is known to attract large flocks of Canada Geese during their November migration. Don't miss it.

Sure, there's ample night life here, but the real draw is the daytime beach and park activities. Evening strolls through the galleries just might tempt you into buying an original painting.

Lounge at a sidewalk cafe or munch on a special confection from Agnes' Bakery. Life is leisurely here.
